Joyful Fair is a small, socially motivated business based in Adelaide sourcing a unique range of hand-made items directly from craftspeople in Cambodia. In Cambodia 20% of people live below the poverty line and 50% of the population are under 25 years old. There is a constant shortage of employment, particularly in rural areas. The Fair trade craft and sewing groups I work with in Cambodia provide employment for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable poor, helping them avoid the constant threat of exploitation and work to create better lives for their families.
Joyful Fair specialise in unique clothing, jewellery, bags, and home décor. We love helping our customers choose products to add a dash of heart and soul to their shopping choices. We strive to offer fun and contemporary style with broad appeal. We believe there is a really positive energy about our products that will appeal to individual customers and retailers looking to add stylish fair trade products to their shop.
Joyful Fair have a strong focus on the use of sustainable and local materials used in creative and innovative ways. Functional design combined with local materials such as vintage finds, hand-weaves, natural stones and seeds, factory surplus and discarded materials all add to the dynamic stories behind each unique product.
Joyful Fair is proud to play a small part in raising awareness about the power of Fair Trade. We believe that if each person shops a little more consciously we can do our bit to create solutions that lead to a more equal, and sustainable world.
