Global Poverty Project Launched
On Saturday 4 July 2009, the Global Poverty Project launched from Melbourne.
The Global Poverty Project is a new initiative working to catalyse the movement to end extreme poverty.
The Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand was excited to attend and support GPP - and provide a stall to inform those who attended how they can tackle poverty every time they buy a fair trade product.
Now GPP heads off to other parts of Australia, and then around the world.
Presentations will be happening around Australia in July and will also be happening in New Zealand.
FTAANZ is excited to be involved with this new initiative and recommends you take the time to get along - and take your friends and colleagues.
With 1.4 billion people living in extreme poverty around the world, the time to act is now.
Get involved now.
