As part of Fair Trade Fortnight the WA Fair Trade Collective is hosting an exhibition with the theme “Fair Trade”. This will held at the Kurb Gallery, Perth (at its new location) on Saturday the 1st of May and Sunday 2nd of May 2010.

Official opening is at 5.00pm, 1st of May. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Come along and see contributed art by local artists that comprise or represents any aspect of fair trade.

The annual fair trade chocolate cake auction will be held during the opening.

Come along to The Order of Melbourne on Friday 7 May for a night of awesome live music and support the STOP THE TRAFFIK campaign against human trafficking and slavery.

Some of Melbourne's best musical talent - Vox Congo, The Tealeaves, Adam Cousens and Frankie Wants Out - are combining musical forces to raise some noise, awareness and funds, and all for an excellent cause. There will also be raffle prizes, stalls and even our very own STOP THE TRAFFIK cocktails on the menu.

The Fair Trade Association will be hosting a very special invitation-only evening with Ms Kohinoor Yeasmin at the Abbotsford Convent on Tuesday 4 May. Kohinoor Yeasmin, CEO of Tarango, who has more than 16 years of experience working in women’s economic empowerment, fair trade, and micro-enterprise programs in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The evening also includes a presentation by STREAT, a social enterprise providing disadvantaged youth with pathways to careers in hospitality.
